Enjoy some of my favorite shots of Southern Idaho, Winter 2014. All taken with my iPhone 5S, with an Instagram twist. Find me on Instagram at @angelabdesign.
We had a ton of ice this winter. So, so cold.
And like last year, we had quite a bit of snow and some freezing fog. I love how the frozen fog prettifies all the landscaping.
And then the fog really set in. We had week after week after week of inversion. It was really quite maddening.
So we hung out inside alot. Here’s my little cuddle partner, Jasmine. Such a good kitty.
And here’s the bad kitty. Naughty Fiona!
We traveled to Sun Valley to spend Christmas with family. They didn’t have a ton of snow this year, so it wasn’t quite the picturesque winter wonderland, but it was still so pretty. I love how folks there really dress up their evergreens, putting lights on every single tree branch.
On Christmas Eve we visited the Sun Valley Lodge for a fireworks show. So dang cool. It was my first time, and now I don’t ever want to miss it.
As the fireworks were going, there was also a torchlight parade. Lots of skiers held torches, skiing down the hill. It was magical. Even though it was really cold out, every single person had a smile on their face.
Then back home to Meridian. From the crisp clear Sun Valley skies to the foggy inversion of the Treasure Valley. I can’t wait for spring.
Time to enjoy ourselves indoors again, with what is quite possibly the perfect drink: the greyhound. Cheers!
