Here it is, my second magazine contribution.
It’s a decorative hoop that I designed using watercolor patchwork to “paint” a letter. Stitch Craft Create featured it in their Gifts 2013 issue.
But more than a decorative hoop, watercolor patchwork can be used for so much more. Here’s one I made into a zip pouch: Watercolor Patchwork Zip Pouch.
My project is on pages 60-63. Like the article says: watercolor patchwork is easier than it looks. It really is a simple technique that has stellar and precise results.
So grab a copy of Stitch Craft Create’s Gifts 2013 magazine issue and have fun with this watercolor patchwork technique.
If you make one, link up your project online – I’d love to see what you make!

And thanks to the Stitch Craft Create folks for doing such a fine job displaying my project! Shannon Miller, the magazine editor, is an utter delight to work with 🙂
