I couldn’t help but join Sew Sew Modern 3, an online swap exchange of handmade items organized by Lee Monroe and Karen Dorey. I was to make one large item and include one small item that complements it based on what my secret partner wants. This is what I put together for my secret partner, Kelleigh, who likes green and polka dots 🙂 A messenger bag, a business/loyalty card holder, a journal, and a graph ruled comp book that might come in handy for quilt design.
When deciding on fabrics to use, I posted a pic to Flickr and Instagram asking for help in choosing one linen and one green print. I hoped she would reply. And she did! Dark linen and polka dots it is! It’s funny, I think she was the only one to choose that green. But what my secret partner wants, she gets. And it was a good choice!
Isn’t the green Michael Miller Mirror Ball Dot fabric shiny and pretty?
Paired with Essex Yarn Dyed linen in a denim blue, I like it.
