Rainbow Purses for the Birthday Girl

I just made a rainbow of purses for my daughter’s birthday party.  I’m dying of cuteness.

Rainbow Purses

The pattern is the Penelope Ruffle-Top Purse from Jennifer Paganelli’s book Girl’s World: Twenty-One Sewing Projects to Make for Little Girls.  The fabric is also ala Jennifer, each color of the Carrie print in her Girl’s World Vibe fabric collection.

This is a seriously cute and easy pattern.  Only one small pattern piece, folks!  And I am seriously in love with this fabric.  I like the simple color scheme – just so pretty.  I still have yardage of it left, and will probably cry when I run out.

I made one complete purse first, to make sure I like and understand the directions, then I assembly-line the rest.  The pattern is so straight-forward.  I made the first one, then didn’t have to look at the directions for the next four.

The birthday girl and her guests approve 🙂  They sure had fun at her rainbow birthday party!
