Composition Book Cover – Platform Planner

22 March

I just covered my Platform Planner with a comp book cover.  My platform planner is an uber helpful tool I use to manage my blog.

The cover has a little patchwork, straight-line quilting, and I appliqued my logo initial on there.

To make your own, use my comp book cover pattern found in the Spring 2013 issue of Stitch Craft Create,

And I finally used my cross stitch QR code!  Yes, it works!  It points to my website 🙂

I really like all the fabrics in this project – they all play together so well.  A little Honey Child from Jennifer Paganelli, Simply Color Ombre from Vanessa Christenson, Cameo from Amy Butler, and some bits of my daughter’s old dress.  I seriously love Vanessa’s ombre line –  it’s like having tons of different colors in one fabric.

And can I just say that I love having a design wall?  It’s so helpful for laying out all the pieces and parts.
